In an ideal world, yes as this allows the lube to easily penetrate and protect your chain safe in the knowledge that there are no contaminants in its way. This will also increase the durability of the lube. However, WONDERLUBE will clean the chain as it penetrates so if you don't degrease, it will lift dirt and contaminants away from the chain for you. The downside of this is that, as it cleans, your chain will turn black very quickly. This is easily wiped off of course but it doesn't look great and you will need to reapply some more lube (as you just wiped some off). We must add, WONDERLUBE does not turn black...but the dirt it removes will do. If you degrease first, your chain will run clean for many miles in all conditions.
